Two story Tudor style home with 1st Floor Master Suite
This two story home, with about 5,000 sf of finished living area, has an English Tudor architectural style. As with all Plumb homes, the insulation and window and door specifications are top-of-the-line. To increase energy efficiency above and beyond, the owner invested in a vertical, closed loop geothermal heating and cooling system with domestic hot water preheat. The design was created through collaboration between the owner and Plumb. The Master Bedroom Suite is on the 1st Floor, allowing the owners to remain in their home through their elder years, which I would be remiss if I didn’t say this will be many years in the future for this young couple. Although this building lot provided a beautiful setting for a home, I would have to say that the steep topography would challenge a Colorado rocky mountain long horn sheep before our site work was complete. Upon completion, the home appears to be comfortably nestled into the hillside.
